Government wants to export more pharmaceutical products to the US

The Mexican government has launched a plan to increase the presence of locally made pharmaceutical products in the U.S. market, announced the head of the Economy Ministry during the launch of the “Made in Mexico Is Made Better” campaign.

Discussions have taken place with the U.S. health regulator to facilitate the availability of Mexican medications on U.S. pharmacy shelves.

As part of this effort, the minister made a quick trip to Washington and met with U.S. trade authorities to address tariffs on steel and aluminum.

While details of the tariff talks were not disclosed, the minister described the received treatment as “warm” and emphasized that bilateral commercial dialogue continues.
