Mexico’s tourism sector posted historic results in early 2025.
Official figures show the country welcomed 88.1 million international visitors from January through November, marking roughly a 14 % increase compared with the same period in 2024.
Tourism-generated foreign revenue reached $31.22 billion, up nearly 7 % year-over-year, and 8.79 million travelers arrived in November alone, a 15.6 % rise from the previous year.
The number of overnight international tourists climbed to 42.6 million, and the average spending of air arrivals reached $1,229.40, outperforming both 2024 and pre-pandemic 2019 levels.
Cruise tourism also expanded: Mexican ports handled 10.1 million excursionists, and related revenues exceeded $847 million, both significantly above earlier benchmarks.
