A challenging day for mobility is expected in the Mexico City metropolitan area this Monday, November 24, 2025. The combination of scheduled closures on the Metrobús system and road blockades announced by transport groups and agricultural organizations could generate major delays throughout the region.
Metrobús authorities confirmed temporary closures on Lines 1, 2, and 5 as part of a major maintenance program running from November 24 to December 5. The work will be carried out in phases, affecting different stations on specific dates.
These adjustments come alongside planned blockades on highways across at least 20 states, which could increase congestion on key routes and high-demand corridors.
