Mexico’s Tax Administration Service (SAT) outlined how its offices will operate during the December 2025 holiday season to help taxpayers plan their procedures in advance.
According to the agency, in-person services will continue as usual nationwide throughout the holiday period for individuals who have a scheduled appointment. SAT offices will only close on the official public holidays of December 25, 2025, and January 1, 2026.
Outside of these dates, operations will remain unchanged. Taxpayers are advised to review and confirm their appointments, particularly when planning procedures close to holiday dates.
In addition to in-person services, SAT emphasized that multiple digital services are available year-round. These include generating or renewing passwords, renewing the electronic signature (e.firma), and updating tax records.
Through its Virtual Office, individuals can also complete procedures such as registering with the RFC, including for Mexicans living abroad, updating address information, correcting personal data, obtaining tax certificates, and recovering passwords without visiting an office.
These digital tools are intended to simplify tax compliance and reduce the need for travel, even during peak seasons or near public holidays.
