Tequila exports exceed levels seen over the past three years

Tequila exports in 2025 surpassed the volumes recorded over the previous three years, according to data from the Tequila Regulatory Council (CRT), though they remained below the historic peak reached in 2022.

In 2024, total tequila exports amounted to 402.7 million liters, measured at 40% alcohol by volume. Of that total, 129.67 million liters were standard tequila, while 272.40 million liters corresponded to 100% agave tequila, which accounted for the majority of shipments.

In 2025, total exports rose to 407.98 million liters. Exports of standard tequila remained largely unchanged at 129.37 million liters, while 100% agave tequila increased to 278.62 million liters.

The 2025 performance exceeded export levels recorded after the 2022 peak, when shipments reached 418.91 million liters.
