Air cargo industry looks to expand operations at AIFA

Mexico’s air cargo sector is aiming to strengthen and expand its presence at Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), working alongside government authorities to enhance logistics capabilities.

Industry representatives and officials recently reviewed progress in infrastructure and operational systems, highlighting the airport’s growing capacity to handle large-scale cargo activity.

AIFA is increasingly seen as a viable logistics hub, supported by technological upgrades and streamlined customs processes that have helped reduce transit times.

These improvements are expected to boost Mexico’s position in global trade by enabling more efficient cargo movement and operations.

Ongoing collaboration between public and private stakeholders remains central to further developing the airport’s cargo capabilities in the near future.
