Mexican Exports to the United States Reach Record High

Mexican exports to the United States totaled a record $298.2 billion during the first half of 2026, up 13% from a year earlier.

Mexican goods accounted for 17.1% of all U.S. imports, keeping Mexico in its position as the country’s largest supplier. Canada ranked second, followed by Taiwan and China.

Total bilateral trade reached $493.7 billion between January and June. U.S. exports to Mexico totaled $195.6 billion, making Mexico the largest international market for American goods.

Integrated automotive, electronics, machinery, medical equipment, and computer supply chains helped sustain trade despite uncertainty surrounding the USMCA review.

However, much of the export growth was concentrated in computer equipment. Analysts noted that the industry relies heavily on imported inputs and generates less domestic economic activity than automotive manufacturing.

In June alone, Mexican exports to the United States reached $55.3 billion, a 23% year-over-year increase and a record for the month.
